The overall capacities for storage services offered are equal to:

• 9,525,000,000 kWh of Space (equal to around 900 MScm @ PCS 10.57275 kWh/Scm);
• 95,250,000 kWh/d of Withdrawal Capacity (equal to around. 9 MSmc/d @ PCS 10.57275 kWh/Scm);
• 79,000,000 kWh/d of Injection Capacity (equal to around 7.47 MSmc/d @ PCS 10.57275 kWh/Smc).

The actual capacities that will be offered in the allocation procedures following the publication of the Decree of the Ministero dell’Ambiente e della Sicurezza Energetica will take into account:

• any capacity assigned in the period between the date of publication of the aforementioned maximum capacities and the date of the first auction following the publication of the aforementioned Decree;
• the capacities that may become unavailable as a result of maintenance to be carried out at the San Potito and Cotignola plant, which will be published at the aforementioned first auction.

Edison Stoccaggio, following the deliberation AEEG 149/2012/R/GAS, does not provide strategic storage service and make available approximately a volume of 140 Mcm as strategic reserve.

Storage service tariffs

In accordance with Article 21.2 of Annex A (RAST) of the Resolution 67/2019/R/gas and based on the revenues approved by Resolution 384/2022/R/gas, Edison Stoccaggio publishes here below storage service charges valid from 01/04/2023.

Withdrawal CE = 20.077627 €cent/kWh/day/year*

Note * : the tariffs are calculated on the basis of the revenues approved by Resolution 384/2022/R/gas and the offered capacities.

Charges for Irregular Deposit Service

Please note that it is ongoing, with the Responsible for Balancing and the other storage operators, an organic and coordinated revision of the Network Code and Storage Codes in the parts relating to the Real Guarantee on the gas in favour of third parties and the Deposit Service. The proposal to update the Code of Edison Stoccaggio will be published for consultation following the proposal to update the Network Code by the Responsible for Balancing.

The revision proposals provide for an alignment of the fees charged for the storage service between the storage companies and, therefore, by way of derogation from the conditions currently provided for in the article 5.9.4 of the Code of Edison Stoccaggio, as of now and pending the approval of the revision of the service, Edison Stoccaggio will apply the current fees charged by the major storage company, which are:

- no charge if the gas is in favour of the Responsible for Balancing;

- 1,000 EUR if the gas is in favour of other "third party" entities such as credit institutions or other users.

Please note that upon successful completion of the process of approval of the proposal, Edison Storage will apply the fees established in the version of the code approved by ARERA.

Charges Ccomp

As set out by Autorità di Regolazione per Energia Reti e Ambiente in the article 11 of Annex A (RTSG) of Resolution 419/2019/R/gas, Edison Stoccaggio publishes here below charges as "Corrispettivo a copertura del contributo compensativo per il mancato utilizzo alternativo del territorio" (charge for the compensatory contribution for the non-alternative use of the land), applied to assigned space.

Calendar of auctions for the assignment of storage capacity 2023-2024

Regulation (EU) 2023/427 amending Regulation (EU) 833/2014

Last February, 25th 2023, the Council of the European Union adopted the Regulation (EU) 2023/427 amending Regulation (EU) 833/2014 concerning restrictive measures in view of Russia’s actions destabilising the situation in Ukraine, published at link

In accordance with and as a result of how much ruled in the Article 5p of the Regulation (EU) 2023/427: “[..]. 1.It shall be prohibited to provide storage capacity as defined in Article 2(1), point 28 of Regulation (EC) No 715/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council in a storage facility as defined in Article 2, point 9 of Directive 2009/73/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, except for the part of liquefied natural gas facilities used for storage, to: (a) a Russian national, a natural person residing in Russia, or a legal person, entity or body established in Russia; (b) a legal person, entity or body whose proprietary rights are directly or indirectly owned for more than 50 % by a legal person, entity or body referred to in point (a) of this paragraph; or (c) a natural or legal person, entity or body acting on behalf or at the direction of a legal person, entity or body referred to in point (a) or (b) of this paragraph [..]”.

As also known, the Regulation (EU) 2023/427 is binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States. Such that the provisions and prohibitions contained therein operate in the Italian State and govern all relations between the operator Edison Stoccaggio S.p.A. and the applicants/users, access and provision of the storage service.

For this purpose, we invite you to read the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2023/427 and to send to Edison Stoccaggio S.p.A. a signed copy of the declarations as follows:

Last February, 25th 2023, the Council of the European Union adopted the Regulation (EU) 2023/427 amending Regulation (EU) 833/2014 concerning restrictive measures in view of Russia’s actions destabilising the situation in Ukraine, published at link

FORMS FOR ASSIGNMENT SHORT TERM CAPACITIES FOR T.Y. 2023-2024

Partecipation to short term auctions (ref. Annex A to deliberation ARERA 67/2019/R/gas) is regulated under Chapter 5.9.2 of Code of storage and requires subscribing of Declaration of power and Contract:

and delivering of Guarantee to cover purchase requests:

REAL GUARANTEE TO THIRD PARTIES

According to articles 5.9.4 and 5.9.5 of Code of Storage, each Customer has the right to set up a real guarantee on the gas in favour of third parties:

• Max quantity admitted for T.Y. 2023-2024;
• Contratto per il servizio di deposito irregolare di gas in garanzia;
• Richiesta di aumento del gas in garanzia;
• Richiesta di diminuzione del gas in garanzia;
• Richiesta di recesso dal contratto per il servizio di deposito irregolare di gas in garanzia;
• Modulo di escussione del gas in garanzia.

The charges for the Irregular Deposit Service are published on the page Tariffs.

With reference to the establishment, in the form of the irregular pledge, of Gas Guarantee in favour of the Responsible for Balancing deposited at the storage facilities of Edison Stoccaggio, Edison Stoccaggio informs that for the purpose of managing the Guarantee Gas, which could enter into the ownership of the Responsible for Balancing as a result of the enforcement of the volumes of gas in storage previously pledged, pending the finalization of the coordination activities between the Responsible for Balancing and all Storage Companies for the purpose of updating the respective Codes, instead of the forecasts referred to in chapter 5, paragraph 5.9.5 of the code of Edison Stoccaggio will be applied between the Responsible for Balancing and Edison Stoccaggio modes, shared with ARERA, suitable to minimize the risk of any charges in the system.

TRANSACTION OF SPACE AND RELATED CAPACITIES

The transaction of Space and related Injection Capacity and Withdrawal Capacity is communicated to Edison Stoccaggio using following form and it's in accordance with Chapter 7 of the Code of Stoccaggio.

The transactions of injection capacities, withdrawal capacities, gas in storage are executed in the commercial website Escomas.

Edison Stoccaggio notified the force majeure caused an emergency of service due to meteorological conditions in Emilia Romagna.

May 19th 2023

Communication to Customers of Modulazione di Punta and Modulazione a Punte Costanti

Due to the meteorological conditions in Emilia Romagna, our San Potito & Cotignola’s plant is not able to guarantee the full operation.

Therefore, according to article 17.6.2 letter a) of Code of Storage, Edison Stoccaggio notify to all Customers the continuation of the FORCE MAJEURE that caused an emergency of service, and the effect is in the gas day 20 May 2023 (already communicated) and in the gas day 21 May 2023.

Due to this:

- in the gas day 20 May 2023 the reduction of daily available injection capacity of the hub is equal to 25% (already communicated);

- in the gas day 21 May 2023 the reduction of daily available injection capacity of the hub is equal to 20%.

According to above sentence, it will be possible to insert nomination and renomination not over the capacity recalculated in proportion of the above percentage. The Escomas system and the data are updated following this reduction.

Based on the information available in May, 19th 2023 we inform you that the end of the force majeure will be at the end of the gas day 21 May 2023 and the overall contractual injection capacity will be available since the gas day 22 May 2023.

Communication to Customers of Modulazione di Punta and Modulazione a Punte Costanti

Due to the meteorological conditions in Emilia Romagna, our San Potito & Cotignola’s plant is not able to guarantee the full operation.

Therefore, according to article 17.6.2 letter a) of Code of Storage, Edison Stoccaggio notify to all Customers the continuation of the FORCE MAJEURE that caused an emergency of service, and the effect is in the gas days 19 and 20 May 2023 too.

Due to this in the gas days 19 and 20 May 2023 the reduction of daily available injection capacity of the hub is equal to 25%.

According to above sentence, it will be possible to insert nomination and renomination not over the capacity recalculated in proportion of the above percentage. The Escomas system and the data are updated following this reduction.
